Indian satellite has discovered ice on the Moon

Acting on lunar orbit Indian research satellite “Chandrayaan-1” has discovered at least 40 craters full of ice on the surface of the Moon. Scientists ensure that discoveries made by Indian satellite are of much interest for the science.

According to the information of “Indian Express”, the discovery has been made by the locator Mini-SAR set onboard constructed by specialists of NASA for discovering fossils on the Moon. The apparatus has fixed ice in more than 40 craters of diameter from 2 to 15 km. The amount of ice is about 600 million m.t. NASA specialists say that this discovery shows that on the Moon there have been water supplies which have turned into the ice due to lunar processes.
