British churches may be allowed to bless gay marriages

Gay pairs are going to be allowed to marry in churches

In brief: Remind that it is not a first precedent of allowing to hold wedding ceremonies for homosexuals in churches.

British Parliament tries to amend the Bible. The House of Lords has adopted by majority vote amendments to the Law on equality which allows religious organizations to bless gay marriages.

This amendment, however, is not obligatory for all religious organizations. It sets just rights to follow it. The initiator of the draft law is Lord Alli from Labour party who is homosexual himself. Next week the bill adopted by the House of Lords is to be referred to the high Chamber of the British Parliament – House of Commons.

Remind that it is not a first precedent of allowing to hold wedding ceremonies for homosexuals in churches. Last year such law was adopted by Swedish parliament and then accepted by the Cathedral of the Swedish Lutheran Church.

Is it consistent with the Bible? Because the Bible tells that God has created a man and a woman. But humans intend more and more to ignore this rule of life and reproduction. Or does this human rights policy provides for the Word of God?
