Swiss people will vote for the proposition to establish the position of animal lawyers on the national referendum. This position implies that state lawyers will protect the rights and interests of animals.

In fact such lawyers already act. One of them works in Zurich. Supporters of such proposition say that this practice really helps to prevent the cases of animal cruelty. Meantime farmers, hunters and animal breeders are against such decision. They suppose that establishing if such positions will just increase taxes and the level of the bureaucracy of law system.
