The meteorological service of Iceland meantime predicts that the cloud of volcanic ash will paralyze European air communications for not longer than a week. Then meteorologists suppose that wind changes its direction.

    There is no danger for public health as long as the particles are high in the atmosphere. However, news reports from the UK indicate that the particles are coming down, and that there is now a health risk. People have been adviced to stay inside and keep their windows closed.
