Volcanic eruption in Iceland entered new phase

It is still unknown when the eruption is going to stop

In brief: The volcano in Iceland now releases less ashes and more lava.

The volcanic eruption in Iceland has entered new phase. According to the volcanologists, the Eyjafjallajokull volcano now releases less ashes and more lava. This news is really good, considering that volcanic ash led to paralysis of air communication in Europe – it contains volcanic dust that is considered dangerous for airplanes’ engines.

Though in the past few days the intensity of eruption decreased, it is still unknown when the eruption is going to stop completely. It may take from few days to few weeks before the volcano calms down. Today is the sixth day of the volcanic eruption in Iceland and volcanologists haven’t noticed any signs of its ceasing yet.
