Volcano in Iceland closes European airspace again

Europe closes airports

In brief: Spain is going to close 15 airports in the North of the country.

Spain closes several airports again due to the volcano in Iceland. There is a threat of new cloud of volcanic ash; therefore flights are planned to be cancelled from/to three cities.

Thus, it is planned to close airports in La Coruña, Vigo and Santiago de Compostela. The last named city is a religious centre where hundreds of thousands pilgrims from different catholic countries come every year. There is also other information, according to which Spain is going to close 15 airports in the North of the country. Among them are those in Saragossa, Bilbao, Pamplona and even Barcelona.

Portugal and France are also on the way to follow Spain in closing airspace. Remind that before there have been cancelled a lot of flights from Europe to North America.
