Large Hadron Collider (LHC): new particle is discovered
Scientists discovered strange particle
In brief: The matter is that the detector LHCb (where “strange” particle were discovered) is one of four detectors of LHC.Scientists, working on Large Hadron Collider, firstly during the work of LHC got a strange particle. It contains “Beautiful” quark and a strange “antiquark, or a strange B-meson (Bs).
This particle appeared with other particles in result of collision of two protons, which energy was 3.5 TeV. B-meson passed 1.5 mm and then fell to three other particles, which also fell to next other ones.
The matter is that the detector LHCb (where “strange” particle were discovered) is one of four detectors of LHC. Its main task is to determine why the Universe consists of normal matter but not of antimatter and matter in twain. Therefore specialists research the particles which contain b-quarks.
