Inflation in Britain increases

Even British economy is not perfect

In brief: Experts connect such growth of inflation indices with rising prices of footwear, clothes, consumer goods, alcohol and tobacco.

Inflation in Great Britain increased last month, in spite of analysts’ forecasts. According to the official statistics, now it is 3.7%. Indices of inflation are high enough in comparison with those of 2008-2009.

Special index CPI, which defines the level of inflation in the country, has increased enough. Another one – RPI, which shows mortgage payables and other credits, has grown up from 4.4% to 5.3%. Experts connect such growth of inflation indices with rising prices of footwear, clothes, consumer goods, alcohol and tobacco.
