The best economy is in Hong Kong and Singapore

In brief: At the end of the list are Ukraine and Venezuela.

Swiss business-school IMD has published its annual rate of competitive countries of the world. According to their researches, the most competitive countries today are Hong Kong and Singapore. It is an unexpected statistics, isn’t it?

The first ten also includes other Asian countries – Malaysia and Taiwan, which last year were at 18th and 23rd positions respectively. The USA has lost its long-lasting leadership due to increasing of state debt and budget deficit. In spite of European recession, Greece and Spain have risen up in the rate. Eastern Europe, however, is going down. Russia has lost three positions and is now 51st, between Slovenia and Jordan. At the end of the list are Ukraine and Venezuela.
