Now it’s unbelievable. The situation is more than unusual. Yesterday Britain and France committed to paying developing nations to combat global warming by calling for a 10-billion-dollar climate fund financed by rich countries. USA already has declared absurdity of this step.

But, Prime Minister Gordon Brown and President Nicolas Sarkozy, attending a closed-door Commonwealth summit in Trinidad, urged that the fund be adopted at climate talks to be held in Copenhagen December 7-18.

Brown said Britain would contribute 1.3 billion dollars over three years.
