Jerusalem: EU and US differ in opinion
Israel and Palestine still haven't returned to their negotiations
In brief: The discussions about the East Jerusalem continue.EU softened its demand for the East Jerusalem to become the capital of the Palestinian state after facing Israeli objections. On Tuesday, EU foreign ministers called back their requirement, saying that the East Jerusalem should become the future capital of the two states.
EU also stated it wouldn’t recognize any changes to the borders from the 1967 without both Israel and Palestine agreeing to it.
Though recognizing the importance of both parties returning to their negotiations, the US has different position on Jerusalem, saying that this question should be solved between the parties directly.
