Baidu is preparing a surprise

Baidu.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: BIDU) is losing value very quickly. Baidu.com, Inc. shares up 83.97 points, decreasing by -3.90 (-4.44%). Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) shares stopped at 492.13 points with losses of -11.58 (-2.30%).

Baidu holds 70% of the Chinese search market. But in mobile search company’s position is not too strong – just 26%. About the same percent of the market of mobile search queries and from Google. So these companies can be called competitors. And soon, this competition may intensify further. The fact is that Baidu is designing its own mobile operating system source code. Sound familiar? Probably the largest Chinese search engine decided to repeat the actions of the largest search engine in the world. Remains to be seen how successful result. Interestingly, the development of new mobile operating system involved former employees of Google. They left Google after the company went into conflict with the Government of China and ceased to censor searches in the country.
