Hewlett-Packard to buy Fortify Software

In brief: Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) and Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) shares are gaining due to the new favorable deals.

Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) shares rose to 41.33 points, gaining +0.78 (1.94%). Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) shares came close to the uptick of 22.21 points, having played +0.30 (1.37%).

Meanwhile, Hewlett-Packard Company is going to buy Fortify Software. Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) is to hire a software developer for the analysis of Fortify Software vulnerability. It is reported that Fortify technology will allow HP to produce software that helps companies reduce business risks, as well as ensure compliance and protection from malicious attacks. The deal value has not been disclosed as yet. DJIA stays in the green.
