Portugal Parliament is on the way to legalize gay marriages

Portugal parliamentarians voted for gay marriages

In brief: The legalization of gay marriages in Portugal follows the lifting of the ban of abortions.

On Friday January, 8, the Parliament of Portugal adopted the bill for legalization of gay marriages. Portugal Prime Minister Jose Socrates said that it was the next step forward to the modernization of the poorest country of the EU. It is a quite strange mind about modernization, isn’t it?

The bill was prepared by the ruling Socialistic party. The opposition was against that bill ensuring that such questions had to be voted on the national referendum. But anyway the document was adopted by majority vote. In order to become a law the bill has to be signed by the President of the country Anibal Cavaco Silva. In the case of President’s veto the Parliament anyway is entitled to overcome it. If the bill becomes a law Portugal will be the 6-th country in Europe where gay marriages are allowed following Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway. Remind that before the Portugal Parliament lifted the ban of abortions. Together with gay marriages it really threatens to reduce people in the country.

It would be much better for the women of Portugal to be tied into loveless marriages with men who are unable to offer the love and passion a straight man would.

Diego, Portugal is not the poorest country in EU. It is well in the tail, but not the poorest. In the Old EU, before inclusion of Eastern Block, Portugal was the poorest. Now the shamefull title is transfered to Bulgaria and such: http://europa.eu/abc/keyfigures/qualityoflife/wealthy/index_en.htm

I don’t know (and am not interested in) what will be good for portugese women, but the point is true – gay marriage legalization and abortion is not well for Portugal in general. Believe me, sooner or later you will wake up in the Western Europostan province of Great Turk-Arabic Khalifate.

Diego, I’ve completely missed one point, when analizing the Maria’s statement. We must consider not only GDP per capita, but also a structure of that GDP and debts of the state and households. Portugal is well indebted, much more than the rest of the tail. If we take that into scope we will recieve brilliantly clear answer:

Portugal is the poorest country in European Union.

So who is poor and ignorant after all? And who will be sorry?

For all the data please look at http://www.indexmundi.com and official EU statistics site mentioned above.

When I see the agony of pain babies are having when they are aborted from the wombs and the pain sodomites give to others, I am afraid in the future it will become rampant as the agenda is “There are too many people on this Earth”.
