US doubts the authenticity of recent Osama bin Laden’s tape

According to David Axelrod, the authenticity of a voice tape is currently unconfirmed by the US officials

In brief: The voice tape in which Osama bin Laden claims responsibility for Detroit terroristic attempt may be a fake.

The US president’s political advisor David Axelrod voiced his doubt about the authenticity of Osama bin Laden’s voice on a recent voice tape, where the leader of Al-Qaeda claims responsibility for Detroit terroristic attack. According to Mr.Axelrod, the US officials are currently unable to confirm that the voice on a tape really belongs to Osama bin Laden.

Mr. Axelrod also noted that this voice tape distributed by Arabic news network Al-Jazeera has groundless justification of mass murders of innocent people.

Last Christmas Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab tried to blow up the plane heading from Amsterdam to Detroit. He made an attempt to detonate the bomb, which was sewn into his closes, but the passengers and airmen stopped him on time. Yemeni officials claimed 23-year old Nigerian to be the member of Al-Qaeda.
