PACE is going to discuss Caucasus’s problems

Turkey is ready to reconcile Russia and Georgia

In brief: The problem of human rights in Caucasus is to be discussed in April.

Today in Strasbourg winter session of the Parliament Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has been started. First time in several years the problem of human rights in Caucasus is to be discussed in April, 2010.

This time the head of the PACE is Turkish deputy Mevlut Chavushoglu. The delegation from Georgia has tried to propose to deprive Russian delegation its powers because of Russia’s admission of the independence of South Osetia and Abkhazia but has not succeeded in it. In his turn Mevlut Chavushoglu has promised to do his best in order to rearrange relations between Russia and Georgia on the problems of South Osetia.
