Afghan President calls for reconciliation with Taliban

He is going to ask for exclusion of Taliban names from the UN blacklist

In brief: Afghan President is going to present his plan for reconciliation with Taliban on London conference.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai voiced his intentions to ask for the exclusion of Taliban names from the UN blacklist. He said that it would stimulate the reconciliation between the world countries and the militants willing to resign from Al-Qaeda.

Such proposition Hamid Karzai is going to make on London conference this Thursday, hoping for support from the Western countries. Besides asking for the exclusion from the UN blacklist, he is also going to offer a plan for providing financial support and jobsites for those who want to quit terroristic organization.

Despite the US didn’t voice their clear opinion on the point yet, there is a possibility that Hamid Karzai’s plan will be accepted.
