Bulgaria ratified the treaty on gas pipeline bypass Russia

Bulgaria has reunited to the Nabucco consortium.

In brief: The consortium of the pipeline now reunites 6 European companies.

Bulgarian Parliament has today ratified the treaty on Nabucco pipeline. According to the treaty the transportation of natural gas from Caspian region to Europe will be bypass Russian territory. It is supposed to be opened in 2015.

Nabucco is supposed to be the pipeline of 3300 km long and of power about 30 billions m3 of gas per year. The consortium of the pipeline reunites the following companies: Austrian OMV Gas GmbH, Turkish Botas, Bulgarian Bulgargaz, Romanian S.N.T.G.N. Transgaz S.A., Hungarian MOL Natural Gas Transmission Company Ltd. And German RWE. Gas supplies are supposed to come from Turkmen, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
