British Airways staff will not go to work again

The first phase of a 20-day strike airborne conductors British Airways will begin on Monday and will last for 5 days. This was reported by the representatives of trade union Unite, which protects the interests of employees. On the eve of the Socialist Workers Party activists disrupted the negotiations between the administration of air carrier and the union. In turn, the leadership of British Airways said that is fully prepared to resume negotiations.

Airports in London renew flights

Ash cloud is over UK again

Great Britain civil aviation management has closed its airspace in several parts of Nothern Ireland until 13:00 of Sunday. It is because of Icelandic volcano activity which ash cloud spreads over the UK.

Boeing 737 burns in Amsterdam

One of the engines of a Boeing 737 Danish-Dutch airline Transavia caught fire before takeoff at Amsterdam airport. 186 passengers were evacuated by inflatable rafts. The fire originated in one of the auxiliary engines in the rear part of the Boeing 737. The aircraft was to fly to the Portuguese resort town of Faro. Two passengers received minor injuries.

British Airways cancel flights due to strike

British Airways cabin crew are going to spend twenty strike, seeking better working conditions and higher wages. This decision was voted members of the union Unite. The first strike will start on 18 May and will last until May 22. The next protest is scheduled to conduct 24 – May 28 May 30 – June 3 and 5 – 9 June.

Authorities of Ireland has declared about opening today on Monday, May, 10, all airports in the country had been closed before due to the cloud of volcanic ash from Iceland. Remind that yesterday airports of Donegal, Sligo, Galway and Kerry were closed due to high concentration of ash in the air after the eruption of volcano in Iceland.

Volcano in Iceland closes new airports

Volcano is still alive. A new cloud of volcanic ash from Icelandic volcano continues to move towards Europe. Through the southern part of Switzerland it got to the Apennine peninsula. Italian authorities were forced to order the closure of airports in Milan, Pisa and Florence. The government promised to open them today, but everything will depend on how dangerous clouds will be.

Cloud of ash from Iceland strikes the European aviation

Volcano in Iceland is still dangerous enough. Volcanic cloud again spreading through Europe. Lifted 900 flights. Due to the change of wind direction on the UK and Ireland is coming from the north of Iceland a new cloud of volcanic ash, which can result in the next day to the closure of a number of airports.
