Greece is richer than the U.S.?

Global financial markets are still shaking in all modes at the thought of a possible Greek defaulted. Yields on long-term government bonds in Greece by 700 basis points over similar Treasury securities yields USA. Thus, it seems that in America things are much better than in Greece. Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with the truth. Greek debt represents 120% of vnturennego GDP, twice more than in the U.S..

Copper prices will adjust to the background of Codelco nationalization

Copper prices could rise significantly. The Chilean Government is ready to part corporatize national copper producer Codelco in case of a public consensus on this issue. , Said Finance Minister Felipe Larren, speaking at an investment conference. “We do not have any ideological issues concerning the listing of shares Codelco. However, this would require constitutional reform. We do not want to force the issue or move on to the battles for the project, causing a hot public reaction,” – said F. Larren.

FIFA World Cup 2010 showed Europe how to live. To live in a big way, western countries only need to sell their precious assets neighbors full purse. I was recently asked about how Spain should respond to the crisis. “Do not bother,” – I replied. “While they were still ahead of Honduras and Chile, we can assume that all is well.” World Cup – an old trick. Only a few countries manage to win. Some may win only when playing on their field (England in 1966, Goad and France in 1998). But someone still play where they won on every (Germany, Argentina and, if we turn to the pre-war history, Italy, Uruguay and). And only one team can not win at home, but it always wins in a foreign field. This done, the Brazilian team.

Dow Jones Industrial suffers from the new fiasco today

U.S. stock market – the indices continue to decline, Dow Jones Industrial trying to avoid another fiasco in the background of mixed statistics. Index broad market Standard & Poor’s 500 is trading with a decrease at 0.59% on a mark to 1,088.83 points, the light blue-chip Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 0.29% to a level of 10,262.97 points and the index of high-tech Nasdaq Composite traded in a minus on 0,56% at around 2,249.04 points.

Dow Jones Industrial Average: the threat of collapse or new tests

Dow Jones Industrial Average will start the day with a record low of 10,293.52 points. Dow Jones lost -148.89 points or -1.43% yesterday. Bidding on the Dow Jones futures are now in the green zone. At the opening of stock trading in the U.S. on June 23 is expected to increase the leading index in anticipation of the meeting of the Federal Reserve System (FRS) the USA to the basic discount rate. Fed is expected to retain a key discount rate in the range of 0-0,25% per annum.

Economy of Chile has grown from seasonal adjustment on 8,2% in April compared to March, exceeding the average market expectations. It happened against the background of the restoration of key sectors in the country after a strong earthquake in February.

Copper market stabilizes

Production of copper in Chile in April 2010 compared with April 2009 increased by 6,4% to 454.979 tons. This is evidenced by statistics. A year earlier, as we know, this figure does not exceed 427.723 tons. In turn, Chile’s molybdenum production in April of this year rose by 5,9% and reached 2.745 thousand tons.
