The future of euro: on the brink of extinction

The future of the euro is like a tale of Atlantis. The European Union has a decent respect for tradition: every crisis to draw into an advantage. European sclerosis (the term originated in the late 70′s – early 80′s, and characterizing the high unemployment rate against a background of high economic growth) and budgetary squabbles 80 preceded the appearance of the Single European Act of 1986, and the crisis of the ERM , Burst in 1992-1993, accelerated the creation of a single European currency.

EU filed a claim to Russia

April 28 held consultations on Human Rights under which European Council asked why not investigated the actions of investigators, officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the judges who were responsible for organizing the illegal arrest of Sergei Magnitskiy.

Victor Yanukovich is today in Brussels

The new President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovich has today in the morning arrived to Brussels. The visit is planned to be one day long and in the evening Yanukovich will come back to Kiev.

The enigma of the new EU appointments

On the last summit of the European Union held on November, 19 in Brussels there were appointments to the top posts. Herman Van Rompuy was elected permanent President of the European Council, Catherine Ashton was appointed High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Pierre de Boissieu Secretary-General of the Council Secretariat.

The large hadron collider (LHC) will be started up soon

The large hadron collider (LHC) is the most expensive physical apparatus as well as the largest elementary particles’ accelerator in the world. It is constructed in Swiss and France by researchers of the European council of nuclear researches CERN center. At first time it was started up in September, 2008, but there was an accident and the collider was stopped.
