Meanwhile, sales of new cars increased in the U.S. in May by 19%, to 1.1 million units, and thus, the continuous growth in the market continued for the seventh consecutive month, according to data research firm Autodata Corp.

Ford helps Dow Jones Industrial to grow rapidly

Dow Jones added growth to the level of 10,250.29 points. Several companies that are in blue chips rose by 5.3%. There was a fiasco for the bears today. The background for the growth was the data from the U.S. automotive market.

Ford says goodbye to the legendary Mercury

Concern can get rid of one more passenger brand – brand Mercury – before the end of this year. The proposal to collapse of sales of cars under this brand will be considered at a board meeting Ford in July. Experts say the decision to close the brand Mercury can indeed be made in a short time – the demand for cars of this brand from its peak in 1978 fell five times: from 579 up to 92 thousand cars (in 2009). Last year, the brand Mercury occupied only 0.9 percent share of the North American market.
