The exchange rate depends not on the euro in Greece or Hungary, and from one of the countries – the founders of the euro area … The future of the euro looks unreal. Greece went into the background, now it is just “the opening act.” All eyes are on Spain, a country that is destined to have a significant impact on the future of the euro, as well as to determine whether a new system of management control over the budgets of the Eurozone countries. It will be a crisis in Spain – the situation will change for the better in the world.

Dow Jones Industrial Average: the path to the maxima may be thorny

Dow Jones Industrial Average is rising against the background of the lack of any negative news statistics, the U.S., except for the growth of unemployment in the country. The level of support shown incredible bulls in early trading. Analysts and experts expect a gradual rise in Dow Jones Industrial Average, but growth was very fast and confident. Dow Jones index stands at 10,117.17 points, the growth of blue-chip equals +217.92 points (2.20%).

European Union celebrates first day of Treaty of Lisbon

After years of political uncertainty the Treaty of Lisbon signed by EU leaders in December 2007 is finally in force. The treaty is said to cut the number of national vetoes, mainly in the area of internal affairs and justice, and to increase powers of the European Court of Justice, MEPs and the Commission. It also creates the position of EU President and foreign minister. Herman Van Rompuy and Baroness Catherine Ashton who have been appointed to the posts joined other EU officials on celebrations in Lisbon.

The enigma of the new EU appointments

On the last summit of the European Union held on November, 19 in Brussels there were appointments to the top posts. Herman Van Rompuy was elected permanent President of the European Council, Catherine Ashton was appointed High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Pierre de Boissieu Secretary-General of the Council Secretariat.
