So now we have a statement of the president Barack Obama. His anger at the situation with BP does not have a nothing personal. Just business. In a conversation held with British Prime Minister, David Cameron, the American president said that his obvious desire to find the one who “Pour on the first number in BP, totally not a manifestation of anti-British sentiments. The president’s words, of course, encouraging. But the situation with BP was a sad reminder that for the widely advertised “special relationship” between the U.S. and Britain hidden mutual hatred, ready to boil over at the first emergency.

Parliamentary elections have today started in Iraq. 46 000 polling have been opened at 7:00 a.m. in 18 provinces of the country and also in 16 other countries. According to the official data, about 20 million people have a right to vote. These are the second parliamentary elections since Saddam Hussein regime falling in 2003.

International Monetary Fund has today published its decision to give Iraq credit of $3,6 billion for reconstruction its infrastructure destroyed by hostilities. It is the largest credit Iraq has ever received from the world community.

Two powerful explosions have thundered today in Karachi, Pakistan. The first terrorist act has been committed by the bomber on mined motorcycle. He crashed the bus with Muslims-Shia. The second one has been occurred a bit later near the hospital where the victims of the first act were brought.

Three explosions in Baghdad today have caused deaths of at least 36 people and more than 70 persons are injured. The explosions have occurred close to the most famous hotels: Ishtar Sheraton, Babylon and al-Hamra. As a result the hotels and nearest buildings are destroyed.
