Air France and Delta Air have lured Alitalia

Italian airline Alitalia has joined the new venture on transatlantic traffic, created in 2009, the largest European airline Air France-KLM Group and the American Delta Air Lines. After joining the Italian company will provide up to 26% of all transatlantic traffic, which will achieve an annual revenue of more than $ 10 billion, according to a report released today Air France.

3% is the cruel fate for the Dow Jones Industrial Average and oil prices

Dow Jones Industrial Average close to 3% loss per day. Dow index is 9,843.02 points, losing almost 300 points per day (-2.91%). At the same time, with the Dow Jones Industrial fall and major European stock indices. European stocks crumbled on the basis of trading on Tuesday amid concern slowing economic growth in China, but also because of the negative data on the U.S. economy, according to data exchanges.

The European Central Bank rejects ratings

One of the key members of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank (ECB), Lorenzo Bini Smaghi on Thursday lashed out at the international rating agencies. He stated that the rating agencies contribute to procyclicality of the market and exacerbate the situation with the general distortion of prices. Ratings agencies have lost credibility because their ratings are not always independent,” – said Bini Smaghi.

Volcano in Iceland closes new airports

Volcano is still alive. A new cloud of volcanic ash from Icelandic volcano continues to move towards Europe. Through the southern part of Switzerland it got to the Apennine peninsula. Italian authorities were forced to order the closure of airports in Milan, Pisa and Florence. The government promised to open them today, but everything will depend on how dangerous clouds will be.

The final of Champions League: Internazionale vs Bavaria

“Inter” has lost the second semi-final but has an advance in result of both matches. Thus the victory of “Barcelona” is not a salvation: Spanish team is left behind. Thus in final of Champions League on May, 22, in Madrid will play “Bavaria” (Munich) and “Internazionale” (Milan).

Weapons’ smugglers are arrested in Italy

Italians protest against Berlusconi

Google Italy heads are charged

Three heads of Google Italy are charged for violation of private life security norms in Internet. The court of Milan imposed them the punishment of half-a-year imprisoning (on probation). They are convicted in not preventing in 2006 the spreading in the web the video of the scene of beating infant with Down syndrome by his classmates in Turin.
