Oil prices are rising today. DJIA climbs higher. Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE: XOM) shares rose to 60.80, gaining +1.54% owing to a rise in oil prices. Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) approached to 77.73 points, gaining +0.74 (0.96%).

Avoiding collapse: BP plc (LON: BP) and Devon Energy Corporation (NYSE: DVN) slide down

BP plc (LON: BP) shares fell to 406.10 points, losing -3.65 (-0.89%) in the middle of the trading. Devon Energy Corporation (NYSE: DVN) approached a downtick of 63.48 points, a decrease of -0.35%.

BP plc (NYSE: BP) shares lost in price against the background of new fines

BP plc (NYSE: BP) shares remain in the red zone. The next bad news was forced BP plc decline to 38.38 points, losing -0.41 (-1.06%). BP agreed to pay a fine of $ 50.6 million for safety violations at the plant, located in the U.S. state of Texas, where during the explosion in 2005 killed 15 workers.
