Oil prices and gold prices began to play hide and seek

Gold prices were more stable than oil prices. Quotes of the oil market on Thursday, May 27 closed a record increase in prices to a two-week peak against the more optimistic investors in the global recovery. On the New York Stock Exchange New York Mercantile Exchange price of July futures for petroleum of mark Light Sweet rose by 3.04, or 4.3%, and its price was 74.55 dollars per barrel. At the exchange InterContinental Exchange Futures Europe in London, Brent crude futures price rose 2.92, or 4.1%, to 74.66 dollars per barrel.

Volcanic eruption in Iceland: effects

Immediately after the eruption of an Icelandic volcano experts had hoped that the dominant transport ash to happen to the north and north-east, in the Barents Sea. However, the ashes to the south and south-east, i.e. in Europe.

EU provides Chile with material aid

Earthquake in the Pacific: tsunami is coming

Tsunami in the Pacific Ocean has started due to the underwater earthquake near Chile coast. Enormous tide 3 m high has just covered the island of Robinson Crusoe in the Juan Fernandez archipelago. People are being evacuated to the hills of Easter Island.

The first section of Pacific oil pipeline is launched

During his visit to the Siberia on Monday Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin officially launched the first section of the Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean oil pipeline. He visited the specialized oil-loading port of Kozmino, where the activation took place, giving the start to oil pumping into the first tanker.
