Stock markets cherish new hopes

By the end of the trading session, the MSCI Asia Pacific index grew by 1.47% to 756.82 points. Japan’s Nikkei 225 saw growth by 2.05% to 9301.32 points. China’s Shanghai Composite increased by 1.54%, while Taiwan’s Taiex went up by 0.78%. South Corea’s Kospi gained 0.70%. India’s Sensex grew by 1.86%.

Foster’s Group Ltd suffering huge losses

Foster’s Group Ltd., the largest Australian producer of beer and wine, reported losses in the second half of the fiscal year after a writedown in its wine business. Brewing company’s net loss amounted to 820.1 million Australian dollars in the first half-year that ended in June, compared with a net profit of 27 million Australian dollars previous year, the company said.

Belle International Holdings earnings increase

China’s largest retailer of women’s shoes Belle International Holdings has published data on the growth of profit in the first half by 37%. It is reported that net profit rose to 1.56 billion yuan ($ 229 million) or 0.18 yuan per share, compared with 1.14 billion yuan or 0.13 yuan per share for the same period a year earlier.

DJIA slides: Coca-Cola Company (NYSE: KO) and United Technologies Corporation (NYSE: UTX) loses footing

The Dow Jones Industrial Average continues to lose in price. The Dow Jones Industrial is 10,321.92 points, decreasing by 0.55%. United Technologies Corporation (NYSE: UTX) is close to 70.62 points, losing -0.65 (-0.91%) today. The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE: KO) shares go into the red zone.

Nestle SA reports good earnings

Nestle SA, the largest food company in the world, reported a more rapid growth in sales in the first half than expected. Their volume for January-June increased by 6,1%, while analysts predicted an increase of 6%.

LVMH records profit above forecasts

Experts say the restoration of luxury goods sales. The world’s largest producer of luxury goods LVMH (Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton) has reported about net profit 53% increasing to 1.05 billion euros ($ 1.36 billion)for the first half of the year.
