BP plc (NYSE: BP) makes a deal with Talisman Energy Inc. (NYSE: TLM)

BP plc (NYSE: BP) shares totaled 41.33 points, rising to +0.65 points, or 1.60%. The British company British Petroleum agreed to sell its assets in Colombia, which will allow it to receive 1.9 billion dollars needed to pay off the victims as a result of oil spills in the Gulf of Mexico.

Ukrainian banks can’t earn on the difference in exchange rates

Exchange rate fluctuations are almost invisible, in May, the value of the course thrilled at around 7,92-7,93 UAH / USD. In such circumstances, banks are almost lost one of the main sources of income – income from foreign exchange.

The stock market today: good statistics and bad trades

Stock market in the U.S. went into negative zone today. Major indexes arranged as follows: Dow Jones industrial average: 9974.45 points (-69.30 points) -0.69%, Nasdaq Composite: 2195.88 points (-15.07 points) -0.68%, S & P 500: 1067.95 points (-6.08 points) -0.57%. The positive correction after the crash on the eve of developments within the European trading – Spanish, Italian stock index added more than 2%, the German stock index also for trades added 2%. While the current growth in Europe is also just a slight correction after almost panic selling yesterday.

Volcano in Iceland became a real disaster for world’s economy. Icelandic volcanic eruption has brought the world huge business losses. There is almost no industry, which at least indirectly affected the cloud of ash. Significantly affected the tourism industry. According to preliminary calculations, the losses exceeded one billion euros.

Bulgaria ratified the treaty on gas pipeline bypass Russia

Bulgarian Parliament has today ratified the treaty on Nabucco pipeline. According to the treaty the transportation of natural gas from Caspian region to Europe will be bypass Russian territory. It is supposed to be opened in 2015.
