Light a candle in remembrance of Holocaust victims

Today is the International Holocaust Remembrance Day adopted by the UN Resolution # 60/7 in 2005. The arrangements in remembrance of victims are taken all over the world. The international conference “Auschwitz – the memory, responsibility, education” dedicated to the liberation of concentration camp “Auschwitz” by the Soviet army is being held today in Poland.

Ukrainian President election: who is said to be the favorite?

As the date of Ukrainian president election draws closer it becomes apparent that the current Ukrainian President, leader of the “Orange Revolution” Viktor Yuschenko has lost the trust of people, supporting him on Maydan in 2004. Statistic shows that he would not enter the second round of the election, which is most likely to happen.

Elections in Ukraine: There are 18 candidates to be the President

The Central election committee has finished the registration of candidates to the President’s post of Ukraine. Elections are planned to the 17th of January 2010. There are 18 candidates registered. Beginners and those who have no chance as well as experienced persons are going to take pat in this political competition. But there are also those who has been with ignominy denied to register.
