Volcano in Iceland: Polish airspace is closed again

Polish airports are closed for another few days

In brief: Polish airports are closed after the message about another cloud of volcanic ash.

All airports in Poland are closed again according to the resolution of Polish officials. The airspace in Poland will remain closed until the next announcement.

Such decision was made by officials after the NATS information about the new cloud of volcanic ash that is currently heading from Iceland towards Europe. The volcanic dust from the cloud is considered to be dangerous for airplane’s engines so the Polish officials consider it necessary to refrain from renewal of the flights in the nearest few days. Great Britain and Finland also postponed the opening of their airports after NATS announcement.

The airspace in Poland was partially opened yesterday – some airports in the southwestern part of the country accepted and performed flights.
