In a few days can start another Icelandic eruption of the volcano, which is called Katla. According to them, if this happens, the eruption would be 10 times stronger, resulting in the atmosphere will be thrown on a much larger volume of volcanic ash cloud, than that which caused the closure of air space in most European countries from April 15.

The two mountains are located in the south of Iceland at a distance of about 20 km from each other. Scientists believe that they are interconnected magma conduit.

On the eve of Katla volcano showed no signs of activity. Its last major eruption occurred in 1955, experts note that this volcano wakes up on average once in 80 years.
