New buildings in Washington are growing like mushrooms

The American housing market came out in the plus confidently

In brief: The real estate market in the United States begins to come alive after a long stagnation. Number of new homes began to grow.

The number of new buildings in the U.S. in April rose by 5.8% – up to 672 thousand houses on an annualized basis, which is the maximum level since October 2008, news agencies reported. In March, the number of new homes was equal to 635 thousand, not 626 thousand, as previously reported.

Analysts forecast a rate increase last month on 3,8% – to 650 thousand from the earlier announced the March level. The number of new houses designed for one family, in April increased by 10% – up to 593 thousand houses, while the number of permits dropped by 11%. The volume of the construction of multifamily homes declined by 19% – to 79 thousand homes in annual terms. The reason for increasing demand for new buildings were tax breaks for residents who buy the first house, as well as improvement in the weather.
