Temasek profit from investments in real estate grew by 87%

In brief: Temasek has pleased shareholders steady growth of the company's profits for the period.

Annual profit investor in real estate company Mapletree Investments Pte, a subsidiary of Singapore state fund Temasek Holdings Pte, rose by 87%. The company plans to double its assets over the next five years. Net profit Mapletree for the fiscal year ended March 31 rose to 393.8 million Singapore dollars ($ 281 million).

Last year, the figure was 210.3 mln Singapore dollars. Total assets under management, has grown this year by 9% to 12.9 billion Singapore dollars. Growth in assets Mapletree to 25 billion Singapore dollars will happen, mainly due to investment in real estate in China, India and Vietnam, said the company’s management. Mapletree also may hold an initial public offering of shares in the next two years. Currently, the net asset value of the company amounts to 5.1 billion Singapore dollars.
