UniCredit can buy Italian FC Roma

The third-largest bank in Europe UniCredit intends to purchase shares of the football club Roma. Meeting with the current owner of the shares of the club Rosello Sensi, whose family owns a majority stake of the club since 1993, will be held on July 5. However, the bank will keep a stake in the club, and in the case of reaching an agreement with Mrs. Sensei, will appoint a consultant who will select the new owner.

According to Corriere dello Sport, buying AS Roma bank UniCredit is connected with the desire to make money on the resale of the last club. As the Financial Times, UniCredit owns 49% of the company Italpetroli, which is engaged in operations with oil and now she is facing bankruptcy because of debts of 400 million euros, of which UniCredit to pay 320 million AS Roma has a listing on the Milan Stock Exchange. According to the report for the I quarter of 2010, revenue of the club was 8,281 million euros, the market price – 110 million euro.
