In brief: The significant increase of the DJIA is expected during the first half of current trading.

The increase of the Dow Jones Industrial Average along with the other leading U.S. indexes is expected during the first half of today’s trading at the U.S. stocks. The quarterly repost of the JPMorgan Chase bank that was published today before the beginning of the trading appeared to be better than predicted. According to this report, the bank’s net profit for the second quarter of the year was $4.8 billion (+76% compared to the second quarter of last year) or $1.09 per share.

Excluding one-time factors, JPMorgan’s profit per share turned out to be $0.87 and so exceeded analytics’ expectations. The investors will most likely react to it with enthusiasm. It is expected that not only JPMorgan’s shares but also the shares of the other leading banks such as Citigroup, Bank of America and Goldman Sachs might grow today. By now the DJIA index decreased 1.02%, the S&P 500 fell 1.1% and the Nasdaq lowered 1.15%.
