The DJIA forward to new reports today. The Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE: HD) is reduced to 27.38 points, losing +0.07 (0.26%). Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) slips down to 11.99 points, down -0.16 (-1.32%).

The Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE: HD) (retailer of home goods) reported an increase of net profit to $ 1.1 billion, or 66 cents a share, to $ 1.2 billion, or 72 cents a share (for the second quarter with the end of August 1). Analysts expected the company profit at 71 cents per share. Sales rose by 1.8% to $ 19.41 billion for the period.
