Google Italy heads are charged

Google Italy created the first precedent of punishing for violations in the web

In brief: This is the first precedent of judging such powerful persons of Google for violations in the web.

Three heads of Google Italy are charged for violation of private life security norms in Internet. The court of Milan imposed them the punishment of half-a-year imprisoning (on probation). They are convicted in not preventing in 2006 the spreading in the web the video of the scene of beating infant with Down syndrome by his classmates in Turin.

David Carl Drummond (the acting vice-president of the company), George De Los Reye (pensioner, the ex-member of Director Council) and Peter Flesher (the head of the European department of Google) were found guilty. The forth defendant Arvind Desikan (the director of Google’s video-project in Europe) was justified. This is the first precedent of judging such powerful persons of Google for violations in the web.
