The heads of 11 states will take part in the inauguration of the new President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovich which is to be held tomorrow on February, 25. According to the information given by the Minister of foreign affairs Petr Poroshenko, their participation has confirmed the heads of 11 states, heads of 4 international organizations, 15 ministers of foreign affairs and heads of 4 parliaments.


EU Foreign Policy Chief faces critics

The newly appointed EU High Representative, Baroness Catherine Ashton, defended her appointment speaking in Parliament on Wednesday. Some of the MEPs who quizzed her for two hours said they were disappointed that she was unable to answer any detailed policy questions. Alexander Graf Lambsdorff, a German Liberal MEP, said that Lady Ashton would have to provide better answers at a confirmation hearing in January.
