As presented by General Motors Corporation this total car sales of this brand in the U.S. in June fell to 194 thousand from 223.8 thousand in May, year over year sales of cars General Motors in June rose by 10.7% against 16.6% in May.

Dow Jones Industrial Average starts to grow at the trading in the U.S.. Stock market has new hope for good local statistics. Analysts expect growth of Dow Jones Industrial Average at 1.5% today. Meanwhile, sales of new cars increased in the U.S. in May by 19%, to 1.1 million units, and thus, the continuous growth in the market continued for the seventh consecutive month, according to data research firm Autodata Corp.

Вulls took control of the situation in the first half of trading and kept plus to the very end. Dow Jones Industrial Average rose +226.27 points (2.26%). Dow Jones added growth to the level of 10,250.29 points. Several companies that are in blue chips rose by 5.3%. There was a fiasco for the bears today. The background for the growth was the data from the U.S. automotive market.

Concern can get rid of one more passenger brand – brand Mercury – before the end of this year. The proposal to collapse of sales of cars under this brand will be considered at a board meeting Ford in July. Experts say the decision to close the brand Mercury can indeed be made in a short time – the demand for cars of this brand from its peak in 1978 fell five times: from 579 up to 92 thousand cars (in 2009). Last year, the brand Mercury occupied only 0.9 percent share of the North American market.

Predictions about the rising or falling Dow Jones Industrial Average are very vague and depend on many factors, anticipate these factors ahead of a very, very difficult, but possible. It is quite possible that the index Dow Jones Industrial Average set sights on a mark at 12 000 points by the end of the year and 13 000 points in 2011. The American stock market lies ahead rally. This opinion is shared by Peter Moric, a professor of business school named after Robert Smith at the University of Maryland and former chief economist of the International Trade Commission USA.
