Shareholders of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) decided to increase the bank’s capital by 50% and thus pave the way for increased investment in the Bank over the next 5 years. According to the official documents of the Bank, this decision was made against the most serious a recession in the regional economy since the “fall of communism.” Board of Directors approved an increase in bank capital in the context of full compliance with the EBRD’s strategy for the period 2011-2015.

Volcano in Iceland continues to actively spewing magma, but airlines have dared to resume the flights. Sheremetyevo International Airport said the resumption of flights to a number of areas that were previously canceled due to the closure of airspace in Europe.

Serbia that used to defend its independence and separated status finally decided to join the European community. Its President Boris Tadic has officially applied to Sweden Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt for Serbian participation in the EU.

Legitimacy of independence of Kosovo admission is to be considerated in the International Court of Justice in Hague. As it is known Kosovo declaired its independence from Serbia in February, 2008. And it has already passed almost 2 years while they are two separated states.
